You have a fursuit, but feel stiff? Come to this panel to learn how to perform in your fursuit.
[GOH] Camp Feral! - 20 Years of Organized Chaos
In 1997, three Toronto furs returned from the first Albany Anthrocon inspired to start a local convention. The first fur wanted to plan a traditional FurMeet, eventually to become the biggest con in the north! The second fur had the unique idea of running the first Furry University with a focus on workshops and panels, run in a University setting. The third fur wanted to drag furries away from their computers and into the woods to be around nature and the furry community. Luckily, since everyone knew each other in the late 90s, they brought the ideas together and mashed them up, creating Camp Feral: Canada’s first furry convention, and the world’s first outdoor convention. Furries in the woods! It was doomed to fail. Twenty years later, Feral is either the 4th, 3rd or 2nd longest running furry convention in the world! How did it last so long? Easy: you can’t stop organized chaos! Potoroo shares some videos and talks about the history of Camp Feral from the first visit to the site in 1998 to how in 2010 they planned each year from 2011 to 2018. The backlash they got for having contraceptives free and available in 2003, the backlash they got for often unsettling and occasionally promotional videos from 2010 to 2014, the challenges of problem solving in the woods, the incredible friendship that has grown between Feral’s furry staff and Camp Arowhon’s not-furry staff, and a few anecdotes about stupid things Potoroo has done over the 13 years he has been chairman.

Munchkin is competitive card game where players delve into the dungeon, defeating monsters, collecting loot and even backstabbing their friends. Equip yourself with a fantasy race and class to help you along your way. Be warned, other players may try to hinder your progress or perhaps even help if the deal is right. Collect useful items that increase your power to help you overcome those pesky monsters. Fail this and you may find yourself dealing with "bad stuff". All expansions will be included. Tournament Rules: There will be one game running for every 4 players signed up. Winners are determined by reaching level 10 or is the highest level by the end of 1 hour. The winners from each game will move onto a second round to battle it out for the title. All special rules associated with any Munchkins memorabilia such as dice, clothing, bookmarks, coins etc. WILL be allowed. APPLY HERE FOR FLOOR WARS NON FURSUITERS AND FURSUITERS ARE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE! THIS IS NOT THE OFFICIAL VF FURSUIT DANCE COMP. The dance comp is a single dancer at a time, with about 120 seconds worth of song and are judged by a panel of judges, not the audience. You can find the Dance comp applications at http://vancoufur.org/dancecomp.php WHAT IS FLOOR WARS? ►Its a tournament style 1v1 dance off. There are two rounds per match and you each dance for roughly 30 seconds each round. The song is different each round. ►Each person is designated a side of the stage and must return to that side after their dance. ►The announcer will give you a 5,4,3,2,1 to show the end of your time and the next dancer starts their dancing at 1 while the previous steps back to their side. ►At the end of each match (not round), the audience cheers for their favorite dancer. ►Fursuiters will dance off with other fursuiters and non-suiters will dance off with other non-suiters to keep things fair. ►The music is chosen by the event runner and all participants have roughly 30 seconds to dance off to the music during their round. ►Contestants will need to be ready 15 mins before commencement to learn the final dancing order. So please arrive early! ►Last minute participants welcome but we may not be able to accept all dancers as we need to have an even number of dancers! ►Best Suiter and best Non Suiter will have the option to dance against each other in the final round. THERE WILL BE PRIZES! Dancers are able to pick their prizes! ► Free BASIC Registration for VF2018 ►T-shirt in your size ►Custom Fursona Toque NOTE: Our songs will not contain adult language. Star Munchkin is competitive card game where players explore deep space, defeating monsters, collecting loot and even backstabbing their friends. Equip yourself with a alien or robotic race and class to help you along your way. Be warned, other players may try to hinder your progress or perhaps even help if the deal is right. Collect useful items that increase your power to help you overcome those pesky monsters. Fail this and you may find yourself dealing with "bad stuff". Tournament Rules: There will be one game running for every 4 players signed up. Winners are determined by reaching level 10 or is the highest level by the end of 1 hour. The winners from each game will move onto a second round to battle it out for the title. All special rules associated with any Munchkins memorabilia such as dice, clothing, bookmarks, coins etc. WILL be allowed.
