A panel that uses artist, contestant, and audience participation to create new and unique fursonas. Contestants introduce themselves and pitch any ideas they have for a character and then the audience pitches in to help fill in the blanks in the design such as species, markings, or character traits. Once a character is completed it will be drawn by a participating artist to be displayed in a "Make Me a Fursona" specific gallery. Please sign up in advance HERE

THIS IS A CLOSED DOORS EVENT. ONLY PARTICIPANTS ALLOWED PLEASE. This event is for those trying out for the fursuit dance compeition only. Please show up in the fursuit you are going to wear for the comp, and please remember that fursuit must at least consist of a head, handpaws, footpaws and a tail (species pending). No sneakers or other footwear will be allowed. Full listing of the rules can be found on the website. Again this is a private event, no viewing audience will be allowed in as the fursuiters will has their heads off and we don't want to spoil the final show.

You'll learn from Nexus Folf, who has 4 years of NCAA Division I mascoting and 2 years of MiLB mascoting experience as well as Red, who mascoted and is still mascoting for his college, the MiLB and the MLS! Get ready to get rowdy!

Come join us for an art discipline based discussion on the topic of art criticism, what it really means, how it's done correctly, and how it can best help you as a blossoming or professional a artist. You will find that there is far more to a critique than leaving comments on someone's artwork. We will be applying what you learn by participating in an active critique session. If you are someone interested in feedback on your work within a real group critique, we welcome you to bring samples of your art. You will get the most out of this panel by bringing a sketchbook and a pencil. There may be hands-on, one-on-one demonstrations, and notes you won't want to miss out on!

An open discussion panel about gender and the fandom held in a safe space. Topics can include various things like gender identity, fursona vs. real life gender, cross-dressing, and more. Since this is held as an open discussion, feel free to bring along any topics or questions you wish to discuss.

A panel designed to help furs create and develop their characters through writing and improv techniques. This panel is specifically aimed for the non-writer or non-performer who nonetheless wants to know more about the character s/he's creating -- a safe environment for those who aren't sure that they can write or perform in cosplay.

ARE YOU READY FOR A DANCE COMPETITION THAT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND?!?! Come watch some of the best dancers in the fandom perform amazing routines in order to entertain the audience and wow the judges. We have dancers of all sorts of different styles, using all sorts of different genres of music, and each and every one of them want to make your jaws drop! This event will be MC'd by Nexus and judged by Strobes, Flinch and Remix. After everyone has performed the judges will tally their votes as all the dancers come out on stage to groove to a song. Then your ANE 2015 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be announced! Doors will open 15 minutes before the event so make sure to get there early to get the best seats!

Draw or Die is a fun comic creation game, open to artists and non artists alike! Participants will draw a single comic panel based on a prompt, then pass the page on to a new player to be continued, until all 4 panels are filled. Prizes will be awarded for funniest comics, chosen by participants. All materials will be provided, although you are free to bring your own as well. Sense of humor required, drawing skills optional.

Interested in learning how to knit or crochet? Then gather round and join Licorice in an open discussion where you can learn by working on projects together. For the low cost of $3 for supplies, you can learn how to knit, crochet, weave, or work with fiber to create your own works of art!

We are looking for 30 fursuiters to come make a name for themselves and win the title of "First Ever ANE Fursuit Games Champs". You will be randomly assigned a Red, Green or Blue Bandana which will designate which team you are on. All three teams will then compete in a Hockey Relay Race, Charades and Musical Chairs game. Winning a game will earn you 3 points, 2nd place earns you 2 points and last place earns you 1 point. The team with the most points at the end of our games will be crowned the "ANE 2015 CHAMPS"!!! We will be picking the first 30 fursuiters as we will not have enough space to accomodate more than that safely on the games floor. Please show up in suit about 15 minutes early to put your name in and reserve a slot. Your refferres will be Nexus, Brun Bera and Hunter Husky. Any outwardly unsafe or violent actions will not be tolerated and will have you ejected from the game. These are supposed to be fun and safe, we don't want anyone actually getting hurt.

Good news! Gribb is back! MFD dance crew returns for it's second ever dance panel to teach the basics of modern street dance to any congoer who attends. Presenting the panel will be Flinch, Remix, and Strobes. Styles taught will include bboying, popping, waving, tutting, and animation. To conclude the event, there will also be a dance circle for those present to show off what they have learned! KRAAAANG!

We’re all familiar by now with the sexual orientations homosexual, heterosexual, and bi/pansexual. Much less discussed are asexuals, people who do not experience sexual attraction (but may experience romantic attraction), and aromantics, people who do not experience romantic attraction (but may experience sexual attraction). We’ll discuss what asexuality and aromanticism are and are not, the umbrella of identities, and talk about some common challenges asexual and aromantic people face and why visibility matters.
